Ilocos Norte, Philippines – The provincial government of Ilocos Norte is set to host a year-end job fair on November 24 and 25, offering over a thousand job opportunities for both skilled and unskilled workers.
According to Philippines News Agency, Provincial Manager of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in Ilocos Norte, the job fair, organized in collaboration with the provincial government, will be held at Robinsons Place Ilocos. The fair aims to provide more employment options for locals, aligning with the government's "Balik Probinsiya" program which encourages residents working in the city to consider local employment opportunities. At the event, 21 private companies will participate, offering various in-demand jobs such as healthcare professionals, teachers, accountants, draftsmen, call center agents, and construction workers. Additionally, local government units and national government line agencies will be present to fill up their vacant positions and offer services to the public.
Atuan mentioned that this might be the last job fair for the year in partnership with these employers, as future collaborations are planned with real estate brokers for a housing fair. She also highlighted the provincial government's ongoing commitment through PESO to provide programs and support to residents, ensuring they can sustain their families amidst various challenges.
