Ihsan Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Programme Supports Families During Ramadan
Bandar Seri Begawan: The Ihsan Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Programme, organized in conjunction with Ramadan, aims to alleviate the financial burdens faced by families during the holy month and bring joy to senior citizens and the underprivileged for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration. This initiative aligns with Yayasan’s strategic goals of addressing the basic needs of those in need. This year, $139,300 was donated to 150 families.
According to Radio Television Brunei, in the Brunei Muara District, the delegation was led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and a Member of the Yayasan Board of Directors. Yayasan also contributed essential equipment for patients, particularly senior citizens. Doctor Dayang Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development, was present as the Acting Managing Director of Yayasan.
In the Belait District, four families benefitted from the programme’s donations. The donations were presented by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Minister of Education and Member of the Yayasan Board of Directors.
In the Tutong District, the delegation was led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism and Member of the Yayasan Board of Directors. Yang Berhormat Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan, Member of the Legislative Council, was also present.
In the Temburong District, the donations were presented to five families, including senior citizens and the underprivileged, by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Dayang Hajah Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib, Attorney General and Member of the Yayasan Board of Directors.
