Safety Role of Mukim Penghulus and Village Heads Highlighted at Muzakarah Session

Bandar Seri Begawan: As a Mukim Penghulu and Village Head, the responsibility extends beyond administrative duties and includes safeguarding lives by addressing unsafe behaviours related to work activities. This was highlighted during a Muzakarah Session conducted by the Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs. The session involved Mukim Penghulus and Village Heads from Brunei Muara District and Temburong District.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Awang Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan, the Permanent Secretary for Municipal and District, Ministry of Home Affairs, was present at the session. The Muzakarah underscored the essential leadership role of Mukim Penghulus and Village Heads in fostering a culture of vigilance and responsibility within the community. It was emphasized that through strong collaboration and active participation, a safe, healthy, and harmonious environment can be established for everyone.

The event featured a presentation by SHENA and included a visit to the SHENA Mini Exhibition, further reinforcing the importance of safety, health, and environmental awareness among community leaders.
