Brunei Authorities Conduct ‘Operasi Bersih Sepadu’ Targeting Illegal Activities

Bandar seri begawan: The Licensing and Enforcement Division of the Brunei Muara District Office, in collaboration with enforcement agencies from the Department of Immigration and National Registration, the Royal Customs and Excise Department, and the Tutong District Office, carried out a coordinated crackdown known as ‘Operasi Bersih Sepadu’.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the operation focused on a staff house located in Kampung Sungai Orok, Salambigar, where several violations were identified under the Miscellaneous Offences Act, Chapter 30. The authorities discovered that five Indonesian nationals were in breach of the law, resulting in each being fined $300. Additionally, a company, Syarikat Pembangunan Shambas, faced a penalty of two thousand dollars.

The individuals and the company involved have been given a seven-day window to pay the fines. Failure to comply within this period will lead to the matter being escalated to court proceedings.
