Brunei Students Engage in Overseas Cybersecurity Programme
Kuala Lumpur: Nineteen participants, including fifteen students and a lecturer, recently participated in the 2nd ‘Overseas Learning Journey’ programme held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This 6-day programme aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of regional cybersecurity practices and foster professional connections within the Southeast Asian cybersecurity landscape.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the students were from higher learning and private institutions in Brunei, including Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Universiti Teknologi Brunei, and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University. The programme’s successful completion was announced by the Brunei Cyber Security Association (BCSA) in collaboration with Raw-Sec, Malaysia. Participants engaged in several field trips, including a visit to the National Cyber Security Agency Malaysia. The programme offered an immersive learning experience, exposing participants to cybersecurity policies, technologies, and professional ecosystems.
