‘Gendang Tari Irama’ Night Highlights Diverse Cultural Performances Across Brunei

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN — The festive atmosphere in Brunei’s capital and surrounding districts was further enhanced by various cultural performances as part of the 78th Royal Birthday Celebration. The ‘Gendang Tari Irama’ Night, organized by Syarikat Lasung Emas, showcased local artists and dance from the Gentara Begawan Group, captivating audiences with traditional and contemporary expressions.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Performances across other districts included the ‘Variasi Irama’ in Belait, featuring local bands and contemporary music, organized by the Youth Movement MINDA and JKF Audiotech. In Tutong, the festive stage by New Pesona Group highlighted the Indonesian community’s contribution with singing performances. The events across the districts demonstrated the community’s engagement and celebration of Brunei’s rich cultural tapestry, attended by local dignitaries including legislative council members Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan and Haji Awang Sulaiman Bin Haji Nasir.
