Brunei Youth Invitational Weightlifting Championship Held at Sports School

Bandar Seri Begawan: The Brunei Darussalam National Weightlifting Association, in collaboration with the Sports School and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, organized the Brunei Youth Invitational Weightlifting Championship. The two-day championship, which commenced yesterday, took place at the Sports School.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event saw participation from 30 athletes representing three teams: the Sports School, Brunei; Sarawak; and Sabah. The championship featured competitions in both men’s and women’s categories across the 58 kilogrammes, 65 kilogrammes, and 71 kilogrammes weight classes. The championship aimed to elevate the standard of weightlifting among teenagers and contribute to the further development of the sport.
