DILG Recognizes Caraga Police Officers for Arresting Region’s Most-Wanted Individuals

Caraga – Four members of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 in the Caraga region have been honored for their outstanding efforts leading to the apprehension of the region’s most-wanted criminals. The awards, presented on Monday, were announced by Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft, PRO-13 chief. The ceremony was attended by Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) 13 Assistant Director Donald Seronay.

According to Philippines News Agency, Capt. Charles Evan Gatchalian and Staff Sgt. Rhayan Mandigma received the Medalya ng Kagalingan from DILG-13 for their successful arrest of Enrique C. Montano, Caraga’s most-wanted individual for statutory rape, in Barangay Basag, Butuan City, on August 12. Capt. Saldy Maestre and Staff Sgt. Ian Kinnets Alguno were similarly honored for apprehending Roberto C. Anunciado, the most-wanted man in Agusan del Sur, charged with rape, on October 1.

Additionally, DILG-13 recognized Irwin Olano, non-uniformed personnel, with the Medalya ng Papuri for his nine years of dedicated service as assistant crime registrar and police-community relations aide at the Taganaan municipal police station in Surigao del Norte. Olano currently works as a planning assistant at the PRO-13 Regional Plans and Strategy Management Division. The awards serve as a testament to the commitment and hard work of these officers in maintaining peace and public safety in the Caraga region.
