Brunei Monarch Awards State Decorations at Investiture Ceremony

Bandar seri begawan: The Grand Parade concluded with the Audience and Investiture Ceremony, attended by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang DiPertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti AlMarhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam. His Majesty awarded Brunei Darussalam State Decorations to 14 individuals in honor of his 79th Birthday Celebration.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was attended by several members of the royal family, including His Royal Highness Prince Haji AlMuhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, among others. Distinguished guests included His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri Doctor Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, Yang DiPertua Negeri Sarawak, and His Excellency Edwin Tong, Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs, Republic of Singapore, along with their spouses.

During the ceremony, His Majesty expressed gratitude to Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala for the peaceful and harmonious atmosphere in which his birthday was celebrated. He also highlighted the implementation of the Personal Data Protection Order 2025 to mitigate risks associated with cyber threats and urged the youth to take advantage of 16 new courses under the SkillPlus programme. Concluding his speech, His Majesty prayed for continued blessings for his subjects.

The Monarch conferred The Most Exalted Order of Paduka Keberanian Laila Terbilang, First Class, DPKT, to His Excellency General Songwit Noonpackdee, Chief of Defence Forces of Thailand, and His Excellency Vice Admiral Aaron Beng Yao Cheng, Chief of Defence Force of the Republic of Singapore. The Most Honourable Order of Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei Second Class, DPMB, was awarded to four individuals, including Doctor Dayang Hajah Huraini Binti Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Jaya Dato Paduka Haji Hurairah and Dayang Suraya binti Haji Jaidin.

Three individuals received The Most Blessed Order of Setia Negara Brunei Third Class, SNB, and five were awarded The Honourable Order of Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei Third Class, SMB. The ceremony concluded with a prayer of thanksgiving read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, State Mufti.
