Post: DOH Reports 730 People Affected by Mindanao Earthquake

Davao Occidental, Philippines - The Department of Health (DOH) has reported that 730 individuals were affected by the recent 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Sarangani, Davao Occidental, with 11 fatalities recorded.

According to Philippines News Agency, As of November 21, the DOH's Health Emergency and Management Bureau reported a total of 741 casualties from the earthquake, with 689 treated as outpatients and 41 still admitted in hospitals. The DOH assured the public that medical services, including mental health and psychosocial support in partnership with the Department of Education, are being provided to all those affected. The department also confirmed that its health facilities in the quake-affected areas remain functional and are actively providing necessary health services. The earthquake, which occurred on November 17, caused significant damage to structures and affected many lives and properties across several regions in Mindanao.
