Deputy Permanent Secretary Emphasizes Continuous Learning for New Teachers


Bandar Seri Begawan: All teachers, specifically new teachers, are reminded to always strive to increase their pedagogical knowledge and skills. This can be done by taking proactive actions to master the best practices and the latest innovations in the field of education to keep up with current developments. The Deputy Permanent Secretary for Core Education, Ministry of Education underlined the matter at the opening ceremony of an Induction Programme for New Teachers. The 5-day programme is held at Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, 15th January morning.



According to Radio Television Brunei, Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman also shared that one of the Ministry of Education’s main initiatives is to emphasise on STEAM education and skills with a student-centred learning approach. 29 new teachers joined the Induction Programme organised by the Ministry of Education through the Department of Educators Management. The programme’s goal is to guide new educators to adapt to the work environment.
