Deliberations at Committee Level


Bandar Seri Begawan: Several issues under the Prime Minister’s Office were also deliberated on by the Appointed Members. Among the issues highlighted were transformation or initiatives towards creating a reform of the Civil Service to be more excellent, effective, with integrity and quality; strengthening the function of the Manpower Planning And Employment Council; flat unemployment rate; use of technology in an effort to enhance national security; the findings or impact of executive development programmes for senior government officials on improving the performance of the Civil Service sector and the role of RTB in disseminating government policies and achievements towards Wawasan Brunei 2035 through broadcast programmes.



According to Radio Television Brunei, the discussions focused on a comprehensive approach to reforming the Civil Service, aiming for improvements in efficiency and integrity. The Manpower Planning And Employment Council’s role was also examined, particularly in addressing the flat unemployment rate. Technology’s role in bolstering national security was a significant point of conversation, as was the evaluation of executive development programs for senior officials to enhance Civil Service performance. Additionally, the role of RTB in promoting government policies and the Wawasan Brunei 2035 vision through its broadcasting efforts was underscored.
