Davao City Police Report Zero Casualties in Holiday Season Celebrations
DAVAO CITY: The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) has reported a successful holiday season with zero casualties, attributing this achievement to the effective security measures implemented during the Pasko Fiesta and New Year events. On Tuesday, Colonel Alberto Lupaz, DCPO chief, commended the city’s security and safety cluster for their comprehensive security coverage, which ensured no incidents involving stray bullets, indiscriminate firing, or firecrackers.
According to Philippines News Agency, the rigorous security preparations by the security and safety cluster, fully supported by the city government, facilitated the orderly and peaceful conduct of the Pasko Fiesta events throughout the holiday season. He also emphasized the crucial role played by the community’s cooperation and adherence to the ‘culture of security’ guidelines, which significantly contributed to the smooth and effective management of all activities during this period. Lupaz expressed his gratitude to all individuals involved in the security efforts, highlighting their dedication and hard work in ensuring the celebrations were safe, secure, and successful.
