Mosque Open Day Programme Celebrates 67th Anniversary of Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque

Bandar seri begawan: The Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque celebrated its 67th anniversary with the launch of the Mosque Open Day Programme. The event aimed to provide the public, tourists, and younger generations with an opportunity to learn more about the mosque, which serves as a hub for worship, knowledge dissemination, and the strengthening of Islamic relations.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the programme was organised by the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque Takmir Committee and was officiated by Yang Berhormat Awang Lawi bin Haji Lamat, a Member of the Legislative Council. The event was designed to engage the community, including children, youth, and tourists, in mosque activities. It also aimed to introduce Islamic arts, culture, and heritage through various events such as Dikir and Tausyeh presentations, as well as a silat performance.
