Crown Prince Confers Degrees at 36th UBD Convocation Ceremony

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN — The 36th Convocation Ceremony of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) was marked by the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Doctor Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, who conferred Masters Degrees and diplomas to 336 graduates.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event featured a formal commencement with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Haji Salim bin Besar. The Crown Prince was received upon arrival by the Minister of Education, Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, and Doctor Hazri Haji Kifle, Vice Chancellor of UBD. During the ceremony, 302 graduates were awarded Masters degrees and 34 received diplomas, including notable recipient Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Hajah Ameenah Bushral Bulqiah. The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat, a prayer for safety and well-being, led again by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Haji Salim.
