Conference on Forest to Reef Highlights Blue Carbon Ecosystems

Bandar Seri Begawan: The Conference on Forest to Reef recently convened to discuss significant environmental topics, with a particular focus on ‘The Role of the Blue Carbon Ecosystems.’ The event was structured around six main thematic topics and featured five international panels consisting of researchers and environmental experts from esteemed institutions.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the panelists brought their expertise in climate science, ecosystem management, and sustainable development to the forefront. They shared insights into current research and best practices aimed at supporting Brunei Darussalam’s commitment to environmental conservation and enhancing climate resilience.

The conference also emphasized the importance of promoting the growth of blue and green economies, including eco-tourism and carbon markets. Additionally, it highlighted the need for enhancing capacity building, education, and professional networking in the fields of biodiversity conservation, climate adaptation, and disaster risk reduction.
