The Enforcement Unit of the Belait District Office has issued a $2,000 compound fine to a company responsible for waste transport near public houses, citing violations of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, 2021. The company was found to be improperly disposing of liquid waste, causing it to flow into public areas, which led to the enforcement action.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the company has been given one week to settle the fine. The action underscores the local authorities’ commitment to enforcing environmental laws and regulations designed to protect public spaces from pollution and maintain public health and safety.
