Comelec Announces Completion of Election Paraphernalia Delivery in Albay Ahead of Oct. 30 BSKE

ALBAY – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Albay has successfully completed the delivery of all election paraphernalia to 18 local government units (LGUs) in preparation for the Oct. 30 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

According to a new release by the Philippines News Agency, all official ballots, election returns, canvassing forms, and indelible stain ink bottles have been distributed to the municipal treasurers of the province’s 15 towns and three cities. Bo-Bunao stated that accountable forms are generally distributed to the polling precincts on the day of the election. However, exceptions are made for early delivery requests, which will be carried out a day before the election on Oct. 29.

Bo-Bunao also noted that early delivery is allowed in far-flung areas or locations lacking regular transportation to prevent delays in the voting process. She added that over 2,000 uniformed personnel would ensure the safety and security of the elections in Albay. The security detail includes 1,526 officers from the Philippine National Police, 508 from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and 27 from the Philippine Coast Guard.

Albay province has almost 1.3 million registered voters distributed across 720 barangays for the upcoming BSKE.
