Cebu Pacific Introduces Direct Cebu to Osaka Flights

MANILA — Cebu Pacific (CEB), led by the Gokongwei group, announced the launch of its direct flight service from Cebu to Osaka, starting October 15. This new route marks the first direct connection to the Japanese city from Cebu offered by a local carrier.

According to Philippines News Agency, the airline will operate four weekly flights, specifically on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. “With Japan being a top-of-mind destination for many Filipino travelers, the new route will surely give them the opportunity to visit one of the country’s dynamic cities,” Lao stated in a press release on Monday.

He further noted that the airline hopes this new service will encourage more Japanese travelers to explore the Philippines. The introduction of the Cebu-Osaka route is part of CEB’s ongoing expansion in the Asian market, complementing their existing daily flights to Narita from Cebu. Additionally, CEB is offering promotional fares for the Cebu-Osaka flights starting at just PHP1 base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges, available until July 31, with the travel period extending from October 15, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
