Illegal Beauty Services Operation Leads to Arrest

Bandar seri begawan: A foreign female was arrested in a joint raid operation conducted by the Ministry of Health on the 19th of July, after being involved in providing illegal beauty services to clients at an apartment. During the operation, authorities seized unnotified cosmetic products and medicinal products which were brought in without prescription.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the Ministry of Health emphasized that it is an offence under the Medicine Act Chapter 285 and reminded the public to be vigilant of beauty treatments offered by unlicensed individuals. The operation, initiated based on information received from the public regarding beauty service advertisements on social media, was also joined by the Royal Brunei Police Force, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Department of Immigration and National Registration, as well as the Municipal Department.
