Bandar seri begawan: Muslims are highly encouraged to fast on the 9th and 10th of Muharam, known as Tasu’a and Asyura Days. Fasting and giving alms have become integral to the Brunei Darussalam community’s practice to seek blessings during these significant days. This was a key topic in a tazkirah or lecture titled ‘Meraih Berkat Dengan Hari Tasu’a dan Asyura’, presented during the 189th Munajat Night organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the session began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Awang Hassan Baha bin Haji Umar, the Acting Temburong District Officer. The event was attended by officers and staff from the Temburong District Office, takmir committee members, and congregants from the RPN Kampung Rataie Mosque, as well as participants from various mosques, suraus, and religious halls across the nation. Additionally, youths involved in the Da’wah Academy 5.0 Programme from Kampung Selapon Da’wah Post in Temburong District also participated in the event.
