Brunei Celebrates with Cultural Performances for Sultan’s 78th Birthday

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Festivities for His Majesty’s 78th birthday continue across Brunei with a variety of performances and competitions that showcase local talent and cultural heritage. Highlights include the 19th annual ‘Best 914’ competition organized by Pelangi FM of Radio Television Brunei (RTB), where seven finalists vied for top honors in a spirited contest attended by Awang Cheong Chee Keong, Acting Director of RTB.

According to Radio Television Brunei, The Information Department, in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Office and the Belait District Information Branch, added to the celebrations with a Pentarama performance in Kuala Belait, marking the final stop of the district’s festive circuit. Meanwhile, in Tutong District, secondary schools including Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Secondary School and Sufri Bolkiah Secondary School delighted audiences with the Royal Birthday Pace and Rhythm Performance. In Temburong, Sultan Hassan Secondary School’s SMSH Voice competition brought festive cheer to Bangar Town, drawing community members together in celebration.
