Brunei Celebrates His Majesty’s 78th Birthday with ‘Tazkirah Subuh’ Programme

CAPITAL – In conjunction with the celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah’s 78th birthday, a ‘Tazkirah Subuh’ talk was held early in the morning on August 4th at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the talk was part of the ‘Masjidku Makmur, Negara Berkat’ Programme and highlighted the monarch’s close relationship with his subjects, emphasizing the importance of gratitude and obedience to His Majesty. The Programme drew participation from various dignitaries including Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs; and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The Programme was a collaborative effort involving the Mosque Affairs Department, Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque, the Islamic Da’wah Centre, and the Islamic Eminence Development Division.
