Brunei and Malaysia Celebrate 40 Years of Diplomacy with Gala Dinner

JERUDONG – Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, the Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the enduring partnership between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia at a gala dinner last night at the Royal Berkshire, Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club, Jerudong.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the relationship, enriched by shared history, monarchy, religion, and language, has grown through continuous high-level exchanges and collaborations at ASEAN and international platforms, aimed at regional development, peace, and prosperity.

The event, marking the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, was hosted by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan. Both ministers underscored the potential for new collaborative ventures that could enhance bilateral relations and benefit the citizens of both countries, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia also speaking on the significant achievements of the past four decades.
