Prince ‘Abdul Malik Attends Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony for 42nd Birthday

Bandar seri begawan: His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Chairman of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Committee of Governors, attended a Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony in conjunction with his 42nd birthday celebration. The event, organized by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, was held at the Yayasan Complex in the capital.

According to Radio Television Brunei, upon arrival, Prince ‘Abdul Malik was welcomed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, and other notable figures. These included Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi Bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence; and Doctor Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Acting Managing Director of Yayasan.

The ceremony included the reading of Surah Yassin and Doa Kesyukuran, led by Yang Dimuliakan Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mustapa bin Haji Murat, who also led the mass Fardhu Asar Prayer. Following the religious proceedings, Prince ‘Abdul Malik cut the royal birthday cake and received a pesambah.

As part of the celebration, Prince ‘Abdul Malik presented house keys under the Yayasan Housing Scheme to five underprivileged families from Brunei Muara District, Belait District, and Temburong District.
