Baiduri Bank and Universiti Brunei Darussalam Forge Strategic Partnership for Digital Innovation

Bandar seri begawan: Baiduri Bank and Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) have formalized a strategic partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering collaboration in research, innovation, and talent development. The signing ceremony was held at the bank’s headquarters, marking a critical step in bridging the gap between industry and academia to facilitate Brunei’s digital transformation. The partnership will focus on joint research initiatives in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications relevant to financial services, data analytics, automation, and digital risk management.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony was attended by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. Ti Eng Hui, Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank, and Doctor Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice Chancellor of UBD, signed the MoU. The agreement outlines Baiduri Bank’s collaboration with UBD’s School of Digital Science to develop applied research projects, facilitate academic exchanges, and explore the creation of a joint laboratory facility at UBD.
