State Banquet Hosted by Brunei Sultan to Honor Indonesian President
Bandar Seri Begawan: At noon, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam hosted a State Banquet in honor of His Excellency Dato Laila Utama Prabowo Subianto, the President of the Republic of Indonesia who is in the country for a State Visit. The event commenced with the recitation of Doa Selamat by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr. Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty highlighted in his titah the importance of the historic, religious, and linguistic ties that form the foundation of harmonious relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Indonesia. He further emphasized Brunei’s commitment to collaborating with Indonesia and other ASEAN partners to safeguard regional interests.
President Prabowo Subianto, in his address, expressed his deep appreciation for the warm reception he received during his State Visit. He conveyed Indonesia’s pride in maintaining a strong friendship with Brunei Darussalam.
Both nations continue to engage in regional and international collaborations, notably through ASEAN, APEC, OIC, and BIMP-EAGA, reflecting their shared commitment to cooperative efforts on multiple fronts.
