Post: ASG14 to Showcase Eight Sports Events with Focus on Diligence and Perseverance

Bandar seri begawan: "Bekarih, Bejarih, Belurih," the theme of the 14th ASEAN Schools Games (ASG), reflects values of diligence, perseverance, and hard work. The games, scheduled from 20th to 28th November, will feature eight sports events: Badminton, Basketball, Athletics, Swimming, Netball, Pencak Silat, Sepak Takraw, and Wushu. According to Radio Television Brunei, the pencak silat event will be held at the Youth Centre in Bandar Seri Begawan. Sepak Takraw matches are set to take place at the Multipurpose Hall of Rimba Dua Secondary School, while Badminton will be hosted at the Sports Hall of the Sports School. Basketball events will occur at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex, and Netball will be contested in its Multipurpose Hall. The Athletics events are scheduled for the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, with swimming competitions at the National Swimming Pool in the same complex. Wushu will be held at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Sports Complex. ASG14 is designed not only as a championship but also as a platform to develop potential athletes and promote discipline, cooperation, and sportsmanship among students. The organisers have partnered with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Health, and various Sports Associations to ensure the championship adheres to established Standard Operating Procedures.
