Manila, Philippines - Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez expressed his gratitude to leaders and representatives from 19 countries for their participation in the 31st annual meeting of the Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF), recently held in the Philippines.
According to Philippines News Agency, Romualdez acknowledged the success of the forum in achieving its goal of fostering understanding, collaboration, and the promotion of peace and development in the Asia-Pacific region. He commended the parliamentarians for their active engagement and partnership, which led to a respectful and peaceful resolution of common concerns.
In his farewell dinner message on Saturday, Romualdez highlighted the vibrant exchange of ideas, experiences, and best practices among the parliamentarians. He emphasized the atmosphere of openness and trust that facilitated these discussions. The Speaker lauded the accomplishment of the forum's primary objective: to frame and execute legislative initiatives aimed at cultivating peace and supporting sustainable economic growth.
