Passing Out Parade Marks New Responsibilities for Warden Recruits
Maraburong: The completion of basic prison training marks the beginning of a greater and more challenging responsibility in jointly carrying out supervisory duties, as well as providing rehabilitation services to inmates. This was stated by the Permanent Secretary for Security and Welfare at the Ministry of Home Affairs at the passing out parade for male and female warden recruits, Intake 1/2025. It took place at the Prisons Department Training Centre, Maraburong, Tutong District.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Awang Salminan bin Haji Burut also reminded that all knowledge and experience gained throughout the training should be used as a guide in carrying out duties responsibly and ethically. A total of 28 male and female warden recruits completed the Basic Prison Training conducted over a 6-month period. The event also included a prize presentation to the best recruits.
