Post: 4th Infantry Division Honors Injured Soldiers, Intensifies Efforts Against NPA in Northern Mindanao and Caraga

Cagayan De Oro City - The Army's 4th Infantry Division (4ID) paid tribute to injured troopers on Monday, while simultaneously reinforcing its operations against the communist New People's Army (NPA) in Bukidnon. Major General Jose Maria Cuerpo II, the commander of the 4ID, emphasized the noble sacrifices of these soldiers, particularly during the Christmas season, noting the importance of acknowledging and supporting them as key resources.

According to Philippines News Agency, at least five injured soldiers are currently recuperating at the Camp Evangelista Station Hospital in Cagayan De Oro City. These troops were presented with gifts by the 4ID as a token of appreciation. Meanwhile, an additional 118 soldiers from the Candidate Soldier Course "Lagablab" Class 782-2023 have been deployed to augment forces in the Northern Mindanao and Caraga regions. This new batch, consisting of 112 males and six females, completed their Infantry Orientation Course at the 4ID Training School in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. They began their infantry familiarization training in October, preparing them for their roles in the ongoing conflict against the NPA.
