Red Crescent Society of Brunei Continues Prominent Role in Community Services


Bandar Seri Begawan – The Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society, established in 1948, remains a key player in community and national services, achieving recognition at both regional and international levels. The organization has consistently promoted health, well-being, and community welfare in the country, following the principles of Maqasid Syariah.



According to Radio Television Brunei, its ongoing initiatives and strategic objectives aim to enhance public safety and health preparedness.



The society, with its 400 civilian volunteers and 300 school cadet platoons, emphasizes readiness to serve among its members. As part of its Strategic Plan, the Red Crescent Society is focusing on increasing the number of trained ‘First Aiders’ and fostering a culture of safety within the community to stay aligned with current developments.
