3rd ASEAN Forum: The Future of Finance Discusses Key Trends

Bandar seri begawan: The future of finance will be shaped by greater climate awareness, increasing complexity and digitalisation, heightened volatility, and a stronger reliance on trust, cooperation, and global interconnectedness. These themes were highlighted in the keynote speech by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, during the 3rd ASEAN Forum: The Future of Finance. The forum, organised by Asia Asset Management (AAM) in collaboration with Brunei Institute of Leadership and Islamic Finance (BILIF), took place at The Empire Brunei as part of the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition (MYCE) 2025.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the keynote address was delivered by Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy for Economy, who is also the Chairman of BDCB Board of Directors. The forum brought together policymakers, regulators, and industry experts to discuss challenges, strategic opportunities, and innovative solutions. The aim was to ensure ASEAN’s financial sector remains resilient and competitive in a rapidly evolving global economy.
