21st MABIMS Religious Ministers Meeting Fortifies Regional Cooperation

Melaka: The 21st MABIMS Religious Ministers Meeting, held in Melaka, Malaysia, has successfully strengthened regional synergy among participating nations. The gathering was attended by prominent figures, including Brunei Darussalam’s representative, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the meeting was accompanied by the 49th SOM Meeting and various side activities, such as the Regional Islamic Affairs Premier Forum, the ‘Semanis MABIMS, Seharum Serantau’ Community Programme, and the MABIMS Halal Technical Committee Meeting. Additionally, the event saw the launch of the MABIMS Strategic Plan 2026-2030, aiming to guide future initiatives.

The MABIMS Meetings serve to ensure that the organization remains relevant, dynamic, and competitive amidst numerous challenges. They also exemplify regional cooperation in Islamic affairs. It has been announced that the 22nd MABIMS meeting will take place in Brunei Darussalam in 2027.
