Brunei MYCE 2025 Focuses on Key Themes of Islamic, Environment, Technology, and Current Affairs
Bandar Seri Begawan: The annual Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition, MYCE 2025, is underway and will continue until the 16th of July. The event revolves around four key themes: Islamic, Environment, Technology and Innovation, and Current Affairs. It is organized by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism through the Tourism Development Department, in collaboration with several government agencies, private companies, and higher education institutions, both locally and internationally.
According to Radio Television Brunei, 27 events comprising conferences, seminars, workshops, and exhibitions will take place throughout the Brunei MYCE 2025 period. This includes the International Conference On Islamic Manuscripts, co-organized by the State Mufti Department and the Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, and the International Islamic Manuscript Conference organized by Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. With the participation of foreign experts, the event is expected to contribute towards increased international tourist arrivals, subsequently boosting Brunei’s Gross Domestic Product, particularly in sectors such as hospitality, transport, aviation, and food services.
This year’s edition emphasizes sustainable event practices, encouraging organizers to adopt eco-friendly measures, reduce waste, and utilize digital tools in managing events more efficiently.
