Grassroots Programme

In an effort to increase understanding of the establishment as well as the functions, roles and initiatives, the Grassroots Programme organised by the Manpower Planning Employment Council, MPEC Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office continued in Belait District. The programme was held on 30th August morning, at the official residence of the Belait District Officer.

Awang Haji Amirol Hafidzin bin Haji Muhammad, Acting Belait District Officer in his speech urged all Mukim Penghulus and Village Heads as well as Heads of Long Houses in the Belait District to collaborate with the MPEC Secretariat to assist the mukim or village residents in enhancing their skills and seek employment. Meanwhile, Doctor Hajah Siti Haziah binti Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Head of MPEC Secretariat, hoped that the programme can foster understanding and provide an opportunity for Mukim Penghulu and Village Heads as grassroots leaders to exchange views to help the residents become more employable.
