Young Woman Arrested with PHP 10 Million Worth of Shabu in Cebu Drug Sting

TALISAY CITY — A 22-year-old woman was arrested on Friday in Talisay City, Cebu, after police found her in possession of PHP 10.2 million worth of suspected shabu during a drug sting operation.

According to Philippines News Agency, chief of Talisay City police, the suspect, known as ‘Kulot’, was apprehended following a tip from a confidential informant. The operation took place in Barangay Bulacao. Paguyod detailed that Kulot had been involved in the illegal drug trade since 2022, starting as a small-time pusher before escalating to handling large volumes of drugs supplied by her connections.

Kulot reportedly had the capacity to distribute up to two kilograms of illegal drugs weekly across several areas, including Bulacao, Candulawan, Tabunok, Lagang, and San Isidro in Talisay City, as well as some parts of Cebu City. Her arrest marks a significant step in combating the drug trade in the region, with authorities hoping it will lead to the dismantling of the network involved.

Currently detained at the Talisay Police Station, Kulot faces charges related to illegal drug trafficking, highlighting ongoing efforts to curb the spread of narcotics in the area.
