The Voting and Election of Village Head for Kampung Rataie was held via drive-thru yesterday morning at Mukim Bokok Community Hall in Temburong District.
Speaking during the event, Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, Acting Temburong District Officer said a village head must be united and remain consensus in planning and implementing any projects and activities for the progress and well-being of the village.
The sole candidate was a 34-year-old, Awang Khairul Anwar bin Haji Juma’at, a security at Setia Protective Sendirian Berhad. The results recorded vote of 2 against 76 in favour. Also present was a Member of the Legislative Council.
