Also in the morning, the Forum titled ‘Towards Excellence in Islamic Higher Education in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 Era’, was held in conjunction with 6th Regional Seminar on Islamic Higher Education. Among other matters, the forum discussed that the Islamic Education System is not an obstacle in exploring the progress of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 Era. In fact the explosion of the digital system will continue to develop and enhance the existing education system. The forum was held at the Auditorium of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA.
The forum involved four panelists Doctor Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, the Rector of UNISSA; Yang Berbahagia Professor Doctor Mohamed Ridza Wahiddin, Vie Chancellor of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, (USIM), Yang Terhormat Professor Doctor Amal Fathullah Zarkasyi, Rector of Universiti Darussalam Gontor, UNIDA, Indonesia and Doctor Minombao Ramas-mayo, Dean of ‘The Graduate School’, Mindanao State University, Republic of Philippines.
The forum also stressed that the digital system should be in line with Islamic education which acts as the protecting wall of humanity. Islamic education which is based on morality added the panelists cannot afford to be implicated in the digital form and its usage required great caution.
