With the advancements of technology that allow women to work from home, and where the demands of the workplace can seep into the boundaries of personal lives, this is the time to develop, and prime the young women with strategies to ensure a healthy work � life balance, and in particular, empower their natural disposition, to care for and nurture their families. Speaking at the opening ceremony of The 18th Meeting of the ASEAN Committee on Women (A.C.W) and its Related Meetings, yesterday morning, Dayang Saidah binti Haji Wahid, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport emphasized the importance of preparing the youth especially young women in Brunei Darussalam as the future of ASEAN.
The 18th A.C.W and its Related Meetings were chaired by Dayang Saidah binti Haji Wahid. Among other things discussed were the concerns of women within the region, including the implementation of the A.C.W Workplan 2021-2025 and also the cooperation with strategic partners such as ASEAN-USAID PROSPECT, ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network, ASEAN Confederation of Women’s Organisations, UN Women and OXFAM (Oxford Committee for Famine Relief) International. The Meetings will continue on 12th October with the A.C.W Plus 3 Meeting that involves dialogue partners comprising the People Republic of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
