By the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that in the month of Ramadhan this year, sunat tarawih prayer and other activities such as breaking of the fast or bersungkai, bertadarus al-Quran and qiamullail for mosque congregants are allowed. The delegation of ministries, government departments and private as well as associations are also allowed to together glorify the mosques. Congregants and the public who will attend the mosques, suraus and religious halls are reminded to adhere to the rules and guidelines set.


– Congregants must register using the BruHealth app as well as obtain a green or yellow code

– Persons who are unwell are advised not to attend the mosque

– Congregants are encouraged to undergo a body temperature check

– Congregants must bring and use large prayer mat

– Physical distancing between congregants is according to the measurements of their respective prayer mats

– It is not recommended to shake hands

– There is no age limit

– It is recommended to perform ablution from home and to wear a face mask

– It is also recommended to sanitize hands before and after entering the mosque
