Bandar seri begawan: After performing the Sunat Hari Raya Aidiladha prayer, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam proceeded to the Sunat Rites of Sacrifice for His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam as well as members of the Royal Family in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha.
According to Radio Television Brunei, 210 sacrificial animals, including 196 cattle and 14 goats, were sacrificed. Among these, 4 goats were sacrificed at the function held at the compound of Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah. Portions of the sacrificial meat were distributed to over 18,000 recipients, comprising the poor and destitute asnaf nationwide.
Accompanying His Majesty were His Majesty's sons and brother: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen; and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by the Co-Chairmen and Co-Advisors as well as members of the ceremony's Executive Committee. His Majesty officiated the slaughtering of His Majesty's sacrificial animals. This was followed by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.
