Sulu Drug Bust Leads to One Suspect Killed, Another Arrested

Sulu – A drug sting operation on Sunday afternoon in Sulu resulted in the death of one suspect and the arrest of another, with police and military forces seizing PHP3.4 million worth of shabu.

According to Philippines News Agency, Director Gil Cesario Castro of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM), the incident occurred during a confrontation in Barangay Poblacion, Maimbung. Alex Hussin was arrested, while Aldun Hussin was killed after he allegedly attempted to seize a firearm from a PDEA agent, leading to his being shot and later pronounced dead at a hospital. The operation netted 13 large sachets of shabu, weighing approximately 500 grams, alongside the buy-bust money and mobile phones.
