The ASEAN Business Advisory Council, BAC will organise a virtual roundtable on Skills for a digital age on the 29th of September. The roundtable will provide an understanding of the changing nature of the future of work in Southeast Asia and an assessment of the skills gaps in ASEAN across industry.
Yang Berhormat Dayang Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Awang Haji Abdul Rahman, Member of the Legislative Council as Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council 2021 in an interview with Rampai Pagi yesterday, the topic is important given the high unemployment issue due to the COVID-19 outbreak, not only in Brunei Darussalam but also in ASEAN.
Yang Berhormat added ASEAN is also facing the issue of lagging behind in improving skills. This is due to large gaps in education, health and skills in ASEAN.
