To deepen the economic and trade cooperation of the upgraded Brunei-Guangxi Economic Corridor BGEC, The Muara Port Company Sendirian Berhad MPC and BIMP-EAGA Business Council BEBC Brunei yesterday morning signed a Memorandum of Understanding MoU. The ceremony took place at MPC Headquarters in Muara.
Signing on behalf of BEBC Brunei was Pengiran Dr. Haji Haris bin Pengiran Haji Duraman, The Chairman of BEBC Brunei while MPC was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Zeng Caili.
Earlier, Awang Fazilah Yassin, The Chief Operating Officer of Muara Port Company Sendiri Berhad in his welcoming speech emphasized the importance of sustainable and competitive cross-border trade within the sub-region and beyond. Meanwhile Awang Haji Alimen bin Haji Jaafar, the BEBC Brunei Country Director, emphasized through collaborative efforts as nations, can forge an advantageous environment that actively encourages and facilitates trade, tourism, and investment, fostering sustainable growth and prosperity.
