Sighting Of New Moon of Zulhijjah

The delegation assigned to sight the new moon of Zulhijjah comprising of Syar’ie Judges and Syariah Courts officials, Attorney General’s Office, Prime Minister’s Office together with officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, State Mufti Department in cooperation with officers from the Survey Department, Ministry of Development failed to sight the new moon at several designated areas yesterday afternoon.

The delegations were stationed at Tanjung Batu and Bukit Agok, Jerudong in the Brunei Muara Distric; Bukit Lumut in the Belait District and Bukit Ambog in the Tutong District. Meanwhile, Muslims are encouraged to perform the act of sacrifice after the Aidil Adha Sunat Prayer and the days of Tasyriq on the 11th, 12th and 13th of Zulhijjah.
