The Department of Immigration and National Registration, Ministry of Home Affairs has updated the operations of its public service counters based on the Transition Phase guidelines under the National COVID-19 Recovery Plan Framework by increasing capacity and services at the Department of Immigration and National Registration Headquarters and Branch Offices.
In line with the Transition Phase Guidelines, the number of officers and staff on duty as well as visitors should not exceed 50 percent of the building’s capacity. The updated services will be implemented by using several methods namely advance slot bookings through email or telephone, ‘walk-in’ and ‘Drop Box’.
The Department of Immigration and National Registration has also further extended the service of Birth and Death Registration starting today, the 26th of November 2021 at the Dewan Muhibah of Brunei Muara District Office and Persiaran Multi-purpose Building in Kuala Belait. 200 advance slot bookings a day will be provided to applicants during the registration of birth and death certificates on Friday and Sunday at Dewan Muhibbah, Brunei Muara District Office.
