Two locals were arrested in a patrol and crime monitoring operation carried out by Police Reserve 'C' Company, RBPF in collaboration with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF, yesterday.
During the operation, the police found a suspicious looking vehicle passing through the Kampung Junjongan area. The vehicle was later found after apparently losing control into a ditch. Upon inspection, the police found 3 large boxes containing 156 bottles of alcoholic drinks of various brands. All contrabands and the suspects, a man and a woman, were taken to the Limau Manis Police Station for preliminary investigation. The case will be handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department for further investigation.
