Royal Family Attends Bersanding Ceremony for Son of Princess Hajah Amal Jefriah

KAMPUNG BERIBI — A Bersanding ceremony for Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Abdul Qayyum, the son of Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Jefriah, took place on the afternoon of October 29 at Baitul Athirah, Kampung Beribi. The ceremony was graced by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha.

According to a new release by Radio Television Brunei, upon arrival, His Majesty and Her Majesty were greeted by Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Jefriah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Abdul Haffiz. Also in attendance were members of the royal family including His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik.

The ceremony also included various other royal family members such as His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah. Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam, and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Nasibah were present as well.

Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Abdul Qayyum is married to Yang Mulia Dayang Batrisyia Rafhanah binti Rapawi. Doa Selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim. The ceremony concluded with a Junjung Ziarah received by the newly wedded couple from His Majesty and Her Majesty.
