​The second phase of de-escalation plan following COVID-19 situation announced recently has allowed tuition schools to re-open. Tuition schools however must comply with all regulations and directives related to the reduction of social distancing measures.


RTB crew took a closer look at several tuition schools in the country. The tuition schools began to accept the admission of students and operating in a small class of fewer than five students at a time. At Ria Sejati Tuition School, currently the school only accepts 4 students. According to Mohd Sabih, the principal of the tuition school, before starting the class, the precautionary measures were taken such as checking body temperature, using hand sanitizers and face masks.


Some students said the re-opening of the tuition schools allow them to catch up their lessons as schools were closed due to the outbreak of the COVID-19.


The Jumanji Tution School also re-opened the classes to the students. Previously, only one student and one teacher were allowed in one class but for the second stage, each class has allowed only for 5 students. Like other tuition schools, Jumanji Tuition School also practices security measures such as social distancing inside and outside the classroom and provides hand sanitizer in all classes and at the school entrance.


The re-opening of tuition schools was welcomed by the students as they were able to continue face-to-face learning.
